What everyone has always wanted to know about DizzyGeek, but was afraid to ask!
Q. What is the Dizzy Geek blog about?
A. Pretty much anything we want it to be about. We couldn’t pick one topic so we picked a few topics that we like to think we know a little bit about. Topics that some people would say we’re geeks on.
Q. Isn’t being a geek a bad thing?
A. Hah, being a geek isn’t a good or a bad thing. Like you can’t get in trouble for it. And you won’t get a VIP pass into heaven because you’re a geek. It’s just a term used to describe someone who has more than normal knowledge on a particular subject. And who really enjoys knowing it.
Q. Aren’t you guys afraid of living in the ghetto?
A. No way Jose. There are very few things that we fear, but living where we do is not one of them. Detroit rocks and we feel more at home in the city than anywhere else. So we will embrace our ghetto fabulousness and maybe get a new cover for the couch on the porch this summer.
Q. How’d you learn all the stuff you know?
A. By asking a lot of questions. Most of what we know is what each of us would consider self taught. Meaning that instead of sitting and listening to people lecture about a topic – we spent time figuring things out. Sometimes things broke and we had to put them back together, other times we just picked it up quickly. Oh and we never stop wanting to know more.
